Attila Kőhalmi graduated in Law at Pázmány Péter Catholic University Faculty of Law and Political Sciences in 2004, and as an economist at Szent István University Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences in 2008. He started to work at the Pest County Court, and he was appointed to a judge in 2009, mainly working on cases concerning tort law. After finishing work as a judge, he became the presiding member of the Financial Arbitration Board and senior supervisory consultant of the Hungarian Financial Supervisory Authority (HFSA). During his work at the HFSA he specialized in cases involving bank law (primarily consumer foreign currency mortgage contracts).
Attila has been the member of the Competition Council of the Hungarian Competition Authority since 2013, and he mainly deals with UCP and antitrust cases.
