Roland Csécsei is recently a Regional General Counsel of AVON Cosmetics supporting the South-East European region (Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Albania, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro). Along with providing day-to-day legal counselling to AVON affiliates in these countries he is also responsible to look after compliance and corporate matters, like information security, data protection, regulatory and government affairs. He represents AVON in different associations, e.g. Direct Selling Association (DSA), Cosmetic Association (KOZMOS) and Advertisement Self-Regulatory Body (ÖRT).  He obtained his university degree in law (1999, cum laude) at the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, Hungary. He also obtained a Master of Comparative Law (MCL) degree in University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia in 2001. He has more than 10 years of experience on competition, advertisement, FMCG sector, business and commercial legal area. He has been advising his clients on wide range of competition law issues arising out of commercial agreements, as well as on cases concerning abuse of a dominant position, cartels and leniency, inspections by competition authorities. In the direct selling and cosmetic sector, Roland advises on a variety of regulatory issues, including compliance, distribution and sales models, reference pricing and cosmetic claims. In 2011 he has been asked to provide expert support to EU ECOSEC on harmonization of cosmetics claim. Roland is a co-author of the book on commercial legal debates and mediation (Pereskedni Rossz! Minerva Kiadó, 2003.)
