Virag Balogh graduated from ELTE Faculty of Law in Budapest. She started her professional career at the Consumer Section of the Hungarian Competition Authority. She was international fellow at the Federal Trade Commission, Washington DC, where she worked at the Bureau of Economics studying the economic approach to consumer law enforcement. She became Head of the Consumer Section of the HCA in 2008 - as section head, she was responsible for consumer law enforcement of the HCA, as well as formulating HCA's consumer policy and acting as a spokeperson for the agency on numerous occasions. After leaving HCA, she became Practice Leader of the competition/advertising law practice of CLV Law Firm. Currently she is head of the Service Support Legal Department at Magyar Telekom, overseeing - amongst others - the legal support of Magyar Telekom's B2C and B2B communication. Leaving the law practice, she was general secretary of the Hungarian Advertising Association. Currently she is head of the Service Support Legal Department at Magyar Telekom, overseeing - amongst others - the legal support of Magyar Telekom's B2C and B2B communication.She regularly speaks at conferences, is the author of numerous articles on books on consumer law and policy, and pursuing her PhD-studies at ELTE Faculty of Law where she also teaches regularly.
