László Bak serves as Vice President of the Gazdasági Versenyhivatal (Hungarian Competition Authority). László Bak earned his law degree at Péter Pázmány Catholic University. He worked as a legal trainee and subsequently as a self-employed lawyer from 2004 until 2010. In 2009, László Bak obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in German law at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich, and in 2014, he accomplished postgraduate studies of EU competition law at King’s College London. Since November 2010, Mr Bak served for the Gazdasági Versenyhivatal in several positions: after three years of being chief of staff, he was appointed as head of Litigation, later he led the Legal Unit. Since November 2016, Mr Bak serves as Vice President of the Gazdasági Versenyhivatal, where he is responsible for the supervision of antitrust and consumer protection investigations.
